Starting today, Indiana's Bureau of Motor Vehicles offices will be closed on Monday.

It's part of a change in BMV hours that will see all of the offices open on Saturdays. A 163 full-service license branches have shifted their hours, so they'll be open from 8:30 a-m to 12:30 p-m each Saturday, beginning this week, and closed on Mondays. BMV Commissioner Mary DePrez says there was a big demand for Saturday hours. Previously, on eleven branches were open for just three hours on Saturday mornings. She says the changes are being made without any increase in staff. License branches will also be open all day on Wednesdays, rather than just in the morning.
